The Syntiro Team
Scott H Pearce is the founder and President of Syntiro. After serving in the military, he turned to building a series of successful businesses and is now leveraging this experience to helping entrepreneurs win.
Each of us is the sum total of our experiences. Scott Pearce’s first goal began with a dream to fly and serve his country. After his initial professional experience in the military, Scott pursued his desire to build successful businesses that make a difference. From an early age Scott has been a builder. From his military experience and his passion for the natural environment, Scott wanted to develop alternatives to fossil fuels. He wanted to build the kind of businesses that are better for people and better for the planet. Scott is a mechanical engineer. Traditionally, mechanical engineers design equipment, often fossil-fuel-based tools, and machines. Scott has applied that knowledge to chemical and biological processes in industries like renewable energy, environmental technology, water and more recently agriculture.
Scott has had increasingly responsible roles in a variety of these sectors during his career. In 2004 he founded an alternative energy company that he took public in 2008 (NASDAQ BIOF). After 15 years as CEO and raising more than $1 billion of invested capital, he enjoys applying his experience to support visionary companies through his work at Syntiro Advisors.
As founder and President of Syntiro, Scott combines this technical background with his interest and experience in financing businesses. Along his journey he has honed his leadership skills, become aware of his intuition and the importance of a strong organization and team. From his military experience in combat and the team sport of business, he also learned that preparation and timely decision-making are essential for success. His education included an MBA from MIT to understand how successful businesses are built, yet his main advanced degree has been earned aligning organizations and investors in the hard yet satisfying work of breaking into established industries and finding ways to solve problems not seen following the traditional path or the status quo.
Scott is also a proud father of three amazing young adults and in his free time enjoys most any outdoor activity, exploring the vast, beautiful natural environment of Colorado.
