The Syntiro Team
Scott H Pearce is the founder and President of Syntiro. After serving in the military, he turned to building a series of successful businesses and is now leveraging this experience to helping entrepreneurs win.
Scott H Pearce is a mechanical engineer, former military officer, and founder of a NASDAQ-listed clean energy company, with decades of experience building, financing, and scaling mission-driven businesses in complex, capital-intensive industries.
Scott’s professional journey began with a desire to serve his country and to build. After his initial experience in the military, he pursued a career creating businesses that make a meaningful impact. Drawing on his engineering background and deep respect for the natural environment, Scott focused early on developing alternatives to fossil fuels and building companies that are better for people and the environment.
Traditionally, mechanical engineers design machines and fossil-fuel-based systems. Scott applied that foundation to chemical and biological processes across renewable energy, environmental technology, water, and agriculture. Over the course of his career, he has held increasingly senior leadership roles across these sectors while more recently supporting businesses in value added agriculture, consumer products and real estate.
In 2004, Scott founded an alternative energy company that he took public in 2008 (NASDAQ: BIOF). During his 10 years as CEO, he raised more than $500 million in invested capital and led the company through multiple phases of growth and transformation.
Today, as Founder and President of Syntiro Advisors, Scott combines deep technical expertise with extensive experience in financing and scaling businesses. He brings a disciplined, systems-driven approach to leadership, capital allocation, and organizational alignment—helping founders, investors, and leadership teams navigate complexity and execute with clarity.
Scott holds an MBA from MIT. Outside of work, he is a proud father of three and enjoys spending time outdoors exploring the natural environment of Colorado.
